On an iPhone, connect to Wi-Fi, open Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM, choose "Use QR Code" and scan the code from your VoyaSIM email. Keep your home SIM as the default line for calls and set the new line for mobile data when you land. The whole thing takes about two minutes.
Step by step
- Connect to Wi-Fi. The download needs an internet connection.
- Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM (older iOS: Add Cellular Plan) → Use QR Code.
- Scan the QR code from the VoyaSIM email with the camera, or tap the code if you are reading the email on the same iPhone and choose "Add eSIM".
- Label the line "VoyaSIM" or "Travel". For Default Line choose your home SIM so calls and texts keep working.
- Before you land: Settings → Cellular → tap the VoyaSIM line → switch on Data Roaming, and under Cellular Data choose the VoyaSIM line.
Two things that prevent roaming bills
Turn Data Roaming off on your home SIM (Settings → Cellular → your home line) so it never carries data abroad, and make sure Cellular Data points at the VoyaSIM line. Calls and SMS still reach you on the home number.

The QR code says it was already used
An eSIM QR code can be installed once. If the line is already on your phone, you are done; if it was removed, write to support and we will help.
Can I install without scanning?
Yes. The email also contains the SM-DP+ address and activation code for manual entry under Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Enter Details Manually.
