Quick answer
Yes. The VoyaSIM eSIM carries data only and sits next to your home SIM, so your number, incoming calls, SMS codes from your bank, WhatsApp and iMessage all keep working. Switch data roaming off on the home SIM so it does not run up charges, and leave it on for calls.
The right split
- Home SIM: on, Data Roaming off, default line for voice and SMS.
- VoyaSIM line: on, Data Roaming on, selected for mobile data.
Calls abroad
Receiving a call on your home SIM while abroad may cost roaming minutes with your home carrier; that is their charge, not ours. Calls over WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram or Teams use the eSIM's data and cost nothing extra.
Frequently asked questions
Will my bank's SMS codes arrive?
Yes, on the home SIM, as long as that line is switched on. Many carriers deliver SMS abroad for free; check yours.
Does the eSIM have its own number?
No. If you need a local number, a local physical SIM is the right product.
